【摘要】:ThispartofIEC60793isintendedprimarilyfortestingeitherfibresasproducedbyafibremanufacturerorsubsequentlyovercoated(tightbuffered)usingvariouspolymers.Thetestcanbeperformedeitheronfibresasproducedorafterexposuretovariousenvironments.ThistestappliestoA1,A2,A3,BandCfibres.Theobjectofthisstandardistoestablishuniformrequirementsforthemechanicalcharacteristic–coatingstrippability.Thistestquantifiestheforcerequiredtomechanicallyremovetheprotectivecoatingfromopticalfibresalongtheirlongitudinalaxis.Thistestisnotintendedasameanstomaximizefibrestrengthafterthecoatingisremovednorisitintendedtospecifythebestconditionsforfieldstrippingofopticalfibres.Thistestisdesignedforopticalfibreshavingpolymericcoatingswithnominalouterdiametersintherangeof240μmto900μm.Applicationofthismethodtofibreswithoutercoatingdiametersoutsidetherangeof230μmto930μmisnotrecommended.Warning–Fibrescanfracturewhilebeingstrippedandpierceskinandeyes.Useofprotectiveeyewearisrecommended.
