【摘要】:TheForewordprovidesthebasisfortherulesdescribedinthisDivision.ForthescopeofthisDivision,pressurevesselsarecontainersforthecontainmentofpressure,eitherinternalorexternal.Thispressuremaybeobtainedfromanexternalsource,orbytheapplicationofheatfromadirectorindirectsource,oranycombinationthereof.ThisDivisioncontainsmandatoryrequirements,specificprohibitions,andnonmandatoryguidanceforpressurevesselmaterials,design,fabrica?tion,examination,inspection,testing,certification,andpressurerelief.TheCodedoesnotaddressallaspectsoftheseactivities,andthoseaspectswhicharenotspecifi?callyaddressedshouldnotbeconsideredprohibited.Engineeringjudgmentmustbeconsistentwiththephilos?ophyofthisDivision,andsuchjudgmentsmustneverbeusedtooverrulemandatoryrequirementsorspecificprohibitionsofthisDivision.Seealsoinformativeandnonmandatoryguidanceregardingmetallurgicalphenom-enainAppendixAofSectionII,PartD.ThisDivisionisdividedintothreeSubsections,MandatoryAppendices,andNonmandatoryAppendices.SubsectionAconsistsofPanUG,coveringthegeneralrequirementsapplicabletoallpressurevessels.Subsec?tionBcoversspecificrequirementsthatareapplicabletothevariousmethodsusedinthefabricationofpressurevessels.ItconsistsofPartsUW,UF,andUBdealingwithwelded,forged,andbrazedmethods,respectively.SubsectionCcoversspecificrequirementsapplicabletotheseveralclassesofmaterialsusedinpressurevesselconstruction.ItconsistsofPartsUCS,UNF,UHA,UCI,UCL,UCD,UHT,UL.W,andULTdealingwithcarbonandlowalloysteels,nonferrousmetals,highalloysteels,castiron,cladandlinedmaterial,castductileiron,ferriticsteelswithpropertiesenhancedbyhealtreatment,layeredconstruction,andlowtemperaturematerials,respectively.SectionII,PartDalsocontainstablesofmaximumallow?ablestressvaluesfortheseclassesofmaterials.
