【摘要】:1.1Thisspecificationcoverspolyolefinchoppedstrands(fibers)foruseinconcrete.1.2ThevaluesstatedineitherSIunitsorinch-poundunitsaretoberegardedseparatelyasstandard.Thevaluesstatedineachsystemmaynotbeexactequivalents;therefore,eachsystemshallbeusedindependentlyoftheother.Combiningvaluesfromthetwosystemsmayresultinnon-conformancewiththestandard.1.3Thefollowingsafetyhazardscaveatpertainsonlytothetestmethodsdescribedinthisspecification:Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.

【摘要】:4.1Variousproductsandmaterialsmaybetreatedwithionizingradiation,suchasgammaraysfrom60Coor137Cssources,fornumerouspurposes,includingmicrobialreductionandmaterialmodification.Dosimetryrequirementsmayvarydependingupontheirradiationapplicationandtheenduseoftheproduct.4.2Formanyproducts,theirradiationspecificationsincludeaminimumormaximumlimitofabsorbeddose,sometimesboth:aminimumissettoensurethattheintendedbeneficialeffectisachievedandamaximumlimitissetforthepurposeofavoidingproductdegradation.4.2.1Foragivenapplication,oneorbothofthesevaluesmaybeprescribedbyregulationsthathavebeenestablishedonthebasisofavailablescientificdata.Therefore,itisnecessarytodeterminethecapabilityofanirradiationfacilitytodelivertheabsorbeddosewithinprescribedlimitspriortotheirradiationoftheproduct.Also,itisnecessarytomonitoranddocumenttheabsorbeddoseduringeachproductionruntoverifycompliancewiththeprocessspecificationswithinapredeterminedlevelofconfidence.4.2.2Someexamplesofirradiationapplicationswheredosimetryrequirementsaresimilartothoserequiredforfoodirradiationorforradiationsterilizationofhealthcareproductsare:4.2.2.1Disinfectionofconsumerproduct;4.2.2.2Controlofpathogensinliquidsorsolids;and4.2.2.3Researchonmaterialeffects.4.3Forotherproducts,theirradiationspecificationsmaydependontheevaluationofchangesinthephysicalandchemicalpropertiesoftheirradiatedmaterials.4.3.1Fortheseproducts,therequirementsfordosimetrymaybelessstringent,butdosimetrydatamaybeusefulforqualitycontrol,transferoftheprocesstoanotherfacilityorforcomparisonwithdatafromotherfacilities.4.3.2Someexamplesofradiationapplicationswhereallofthedosimetryrequirementsstatedinthispracticemaynotberequiredare:4.3.2.1Cross-linkingordegradationofpolymersandelastomers;4.3.2.2Polymerizationofmonomersandgraftingofmonomersontopolymers;and4.3.2.3Enhancementofcoloringemstonesandothermaterials.4.4Forsomeproducts,therequirementsfordosimetrymaybedifferent.4.4.1Anexampleofaradiationapplicationwithdifferentrequirementsis:4.4.1.1Therequirementtodeterminetheabsorbeddoseinsiliconorothermaterialsdifferentfromwaterinradiationhardnesstestingofsemiconductorsorthemodificationofcharacteristicsofsemiconductordevices.4.5Forsomeradiationapplications,theirradiationsmaybeperformedatloworhightemperatures,causingdifficultiesindosimetry.Fortheseapplications,itmaybenecessarytoperformdosimetryatambientroomtemperaturesandrelyonprocesscontroltoensurethattheabsorbeddoseiswithinthedesiredlimits.Insomecasesitmaybepossibletousedosimetersforroutinemonitoringatthetemperatureusedfortheirradiationapplicationifthedosimetertemperatureduringirradiationissufficientlystabletoallowcorrectionfortemperatureeffectsonthedosimeterresponse.1.1Thispracticeoutlinestheinstallationqualificationprogramforanirradiatorandthedosimetricprocedurestobefollowedduringoperationalqualification,performancequalification,androutineprocessinginfacilitiesthatprocessproductwithionizingradiationfromradionuclidegammasourcestoensurethatproducthasbeentreatedwithinapredeterminedrangeofabsorbeddose.Otherproceduresrelatedtoinstallationqualification,operationalqualification,performancequalification,androutineprocessingthatmayinfluenceabsorbeddoseintheproductarealsodiscussed.Informationabouteffectiveorregulatoryabsorbed-doselimitsisnotwithinthescopeofthispractice.Note18212;Dosimetryisonlyonecompon......
